Was reading up on anemia (low iron levels in the blood), and found out the much higher risks associated with anemia. It causes abnormal heart rhythms, or palpitations (skipping of a heart beat), which in the long run can cause heart failure if left untreated. My dad died of heart failure, and it wasnt wasy to see him in that condition. Please, please, please, I encourage all of you to stay healthy with a good iron diet. Any dark red meats, raisins, nuts, peanut butter, spinach and any iron fortified rich foods. Avoid any calcium rich foods (milk, yogurt, cheese, ect), tea, coffee when taking iron supplements or iron rich foods. Vitamin C helps absorb iron levels in the body. Ex: 100% orange juice, tang (but also has a lot of sugar!), fruits, or anything with added vitamin c. Questions? Comments? Go!!!
