Watch in HD: Heres a sneak peek of a timelapse project Ive been working on this summer. I love the night sky and Ive been fortunate to have been in some of the darkest skies in the United States. This specific lapse was made in Jackson, Wyoming, where Mac Leander and I hiked 8 miles into the backcountry of the Grand Tetons to camp. The camera was mounted on a tripod (and head) and was triggered by a PocketWizard Multimax. I knew the Milky Way would be rising from the north and cross where I had placed the camera but I wasnt sure if the weather would hold considering the forecast called for a thunderstorm that night. It consists of 327 images taken 2 minutes and 27 second apart from one another and was compiled in Time Lapse Assembler and sent to Adobe Premiere. I hope you enjoy it!
