Watching tv this morning Wesley and I saw a young black mother cradling her newborn baby girl. I immediately pointed out the baby (as I do all babies lately) by saying Look Wesley! Its a little baby! Wesley replies with That baby gonna look JUST LIKE Christian. To which I respond Well not exactly. Our baby isnt going to be a girl and he isnt going to be black... Wesley then becomes extremely concerned and yells WHAT!!! OUR BABY ISNT GOING TO BE BLACK??!!! Then she becomes even more agitated YOU MEAN OUR BABY IS NOT GONNA BE BLACK!!??!! Then she takes a long somber pause and very calmly and curiously says Well. Whats he gonna be then? At this point I was cracking up and also wishing I wouldnt have even opened this door... So I simply said Well, Hes gonna be white. She seemed semi-satisfied with that answer and just said Oh. Ok? However she immediately started point out every stark white item in our house and saying He gonna be THIS color? .. Ugh.. Yup! And this is how the rest of my day will go. ❤️That kid!
