We all knew that it was only a matter of time:... To get this years rumor mill started, SABERBUCS has Pedro Alvarez being traded to the Padres, for catcher Yasmani Grandal. Im no fan of El Toro, but the Bucs would be crazy to trade him this off-season. #1: His value as trade bait is at an all-time low. #2: I cant imagine him getting much of a raise over his 4 million dollar salary in arbitration....Why not at least try him at 1st base? Even if he only hits .230, if he can play respectable defense and hit 25 homers, wouldnt that still be an upgrade?....What do you think?
