We apologise to customers who may have been disrupted due to a few issues on the network this afternoon beyond our control. The extreme heat affected our infrastructure at two inner city locations earlier this afternoon – the points at South Brisbane and signalling at Milton. In addition, police requested we stop running trains through Banoon on the Beenleigh line for close to an hour. Our response teams fixed the infrastructure quickly and trains have resumed following the police incident. Unfortunately, there are some residual delays and as a result, we have needed to change certain trains to three car services to keep you moving. Safety remains our highest priority and we’re working hard to get everyone home safely. Once again we’re sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
