We are finally home, but its cold here and yesterday I could have been lounging in the pool if I had felt like it. We took a carnival cruise. Got on the boat Saturday afternoon. Spent sunday at sea going to shows, a gemstone seminar and a shopping seminar :) Even went to the casino for a bit (not my thing after all). Monday we spent the day in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The natives are interesting, every store we went into served us as much rum punch as they could, everyone we passed knew someone, wanted to sell us something, braid my hair, or take us somewhere that they knew someone so that we could shop there and we (he) would get a good deal. We were offered so much pot it was insane, it is definitely a happy island. Stores and little outdoor but enclosed malls had no pot allowed signs out front. We cashed in a ton of free gift coupons which netted me a ton of jewelry (some real nice stuff) and a number of loose gems ready to be set in something. David bought me a late 20th or early 21st anniversary gift, a new ring to replace my old wedding ring. Tuesday we were at Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. It was total opposite of the day before. Did more shopping (more free gift coupons), the guys went on a sub excursion, Jon, Grandma and Amber went to check out the beach. Wednesday was another day at sea with more shows, an art auction with champagne and a lot of hanging out. Thursday wake up early get off the boat, sit in a airport for 5 hours. climb on a plane and step outside to 40 degree weather in summer clothes. Damn back to real life.
