We are now firmly into Spring severe weather season - do you have a plan for ALL of your family members in the event of a natural disaster? Here is a checklist of pet items to have stashed in a readily accessible spot in your home in case of an emergency that forces you and your loved ones out of your home. The time to try to locate leashes is NOT after you need to leave. And even if you dont have to leave, remember that many animals get frightened by severe weather and may manage to escape yards or bolt out doors in an attempt to escape the scary weather. Having photos and information about your dog already in one spot can save valuable time if you need to launch a search for your pet and makes it easier for friends and family you may recruit to help you search local shelters looking for a lost pet. Be prepared!
