We are pleased to announce that members of the professional Race CF team will be attending and riding in Saturday’s Cycle for Life event! The team, established by the Goguen family of Hopedale, Massachusetts, is aimed at encouraging those with cystic fibrosis to stay active as a means of coping with the disease. The team features several Goguen brothers who race road and cyclocross both domestically and in Europe. With many top podium finishes to their names, the brothers are truly “inspiration in motion.” Manny and Tom Goguen both have CF and use their bike as a means to raising funds for CF research and care. Being in the saddle has helped them increase the capacity of their lungs and overcome the conditions that comes with CF. The family’s struggle to overcome the effects of CF are documented in a moving documentary that was recently released called “Racing to Breathe.” You can view the trailer here: https://youtube/watch?v=9jXEOR6zwb4 Riding the 60 mile route will be Manny, Tom, Peter, Kevin, Paul, and Chris Goguen. Participating in the 32 mile route will be Patrick and Sean Goguen.
