We are so excited for our annual Run for the Owls fundraiser next week! Our fundraising goal is $25,000 which helps to support Vernon staff and their IB curriculum, the STEAM Committee, Arts Committee, and our music teacher among other things! This is our second biggest fundraiser of the year, aside from our auction, so full participation is crucial to the sucess of the programs that the PTA supports ! We need to encourage pledge gathering from each and every one of your kids. Remember ......there are PRIZES!!! 1-The class that raises the most money will get a class party sponsored by the PTA and be awarded the coveted Vernon Cup trophy. 2-The individuals that raise the most money and /or run the most laps will also be rewarded with trophies. Here is the class run time schedule. Middle school 9-9:45 Kindergarten 9:45-10:30 AM 1st and 2nd grade 12:30- 1:45 3rd - 5th grade 1:45-2:30 The runners will run as many 1/4 mile laps as possible. Pledges can be per lap or a flat donation. Students can also collect donations AFTER the event is over. Look below for the link to the online giving option. Parents can sign up to volunteer on this FB page later today. Come out , run with your kids, volunteer, or simply donate some $ to support our great school. Go Owls!
