We are thrilled to unveil our 2015 professional development pedagogy for dancers and aerialists committed to a performance pursuit in the discipline of Aerial Dance. Lead by SBCAA founder Ninette Paloma and Alvin Ailey alumnus Christina Sanchez, this nine-month immersion program includes technical development in six aerial disciplines, contemporary dance, acrobatic dance, stretch and conditioning, lecture courses in rigging and safety, stage and lighting production, a three-day residency in New York City, and a production apprenticeship. In addition, applicants will receive a monthly developmental review to track progress, and 18 hours of private instruction. Candidates will train Monday thru Thursday with a pedagogy tailored to their training focus and needs. PDP is based on a rolling enrollment schedule and is open to all aerialists and/or contemporary dancers with a minimum of three consecutive years’ experience. sbaerial/index.html
