We attended the Veterans Day Program this morning at my son Blakes school, Scottsboro Jr. High! What an honor it was to be able to attend with my dad, a Korean War Veteran, and have my son Blake, a member of the SJHS band be a part of the program. I always get a lump in my throat when I see all the Veterans unite together and be celebrated. So many of the WWII and Korean War vets especially now are slow, frail, and somewhat fragile, but they still have that same dignity, inner strength, honor, and true love for their country. Tomorrow we will celebrate Veterans Day, but may each day we remember our veterans and truly be thankful for their service, their sacrifice, and their willingness to serve our great nation! May God continue to bless our country and the men and women who serve and protect it!
