We do live in a country where even blistering idiots may voice their ignorant opinions. “I am appalled that you would have Damien Echols to speak at your college,” Dickie Ann Lashlee wrote. “Echols, Jessie Misskelley and Jason Baldwin were convicted of killing three young boys and are now roaming free benefiting from these boys’ deaths.” Lashlee said she remembered seeing Echols walk past her office in “his solid black attire, even on hot sweltering days. He looked evil then, and we all commented on that.”
