We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the late 1WO Rajendran. Earlier today, 1WO Rajendran S/O Pachemuthu, 51, an SAF serviceman, was found hanging from a rope in an SAF training area in Lentor by two civilian contractors who were maintaining SAF training equipment. The contractors reported the incident to MWO Ong Chin Sai, a commander from Engineers Training Institute, who proceeded to the site immediately to verify and made a police report at 12:20 pm. There were no SAF training conducted in the area yesterday or today. SCDF and SAF ambulances arrived on site at around 12:25 pm. 1WO Rajendran was unconscious and without pulse, and the SCDF paramedic pronounced 1WO Rajendran dead on site. The Ministry of Defence and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late 1WO Rajendran. The police are investigating the incident. The SAF is assisting the family in their time of grief.
