We have a new version of the sock game. Instead of tug-of-war or just plain catch, when hes on the bed (usually after trying to get rid of the Evil GIant Feet, which oblige by vacating the bed to avoid his beak), Ill throw the sock up and hell catch it as it comes down. Notice how he defends it and tries to keep me from getting it. Note that Buddy is fully flighted, and if he didnt want to play, he could fly anywhere in the house. I mention that because a lady on one of the parrot forums reacted to a video of our playing by insisting that I was torturing him. When hes through playing, hell go somewhere else. When hes through playing catch when hes on the cage, hell usually climb over to the parrot gym and start looking up phone numbers in the old phone book on the bottom (just so Ill have paper shreds to clean off the floor, no doubt.)
