We have been BUSY here at the lodge. A few days ago with very limited time between guest we dumped some fuel in the airplane and flew for town. Landing on a lake right IN town we can taxi the plane to a small slot in the trees/brush, jump out and tie the plane before the wind gets to it. A short walk up through the trees...and we are in the back of Fred Myers store, everything from steaks and produce to sporting goods. Walk around the front, grab a cart and commence shopping. Keep in mind with Pam and I, we can haul only about 300 lbs of supplies, so dont get to shop crazy. An hour or so later its out the front door, around the back and through the woods to the plane, pack supplies down and load the up, untie and shove off for home. Total flight time, an hour and 26 minutes, including diverting around bad weather. Total gone time, a little less than 3 hours. Thats what I call shopping.
