MetroNews Morning News Headlines: Lewis Co. authorities arrested a mother Thursday on charges of child neglect creating risk of injury. Crystal Riffle, 28, was passed out on her couch when deputies arrived at her home and tested positive for a prescription drug she was not prescribed. Her two small children were noticed by neighbors playing on the trampoline in the yard, covered in paint. Charleston Police continue to search for two suspects wanted for a break-in Thursday morning. Police say the two claimed to be police, forced their way in, tied up the two occupants, then made off with Oxycontin pills and about $4500 in cash. A W.Va. State Trooper is recovering after he was struck by a hit and run driver on the Turnpike. Trooper D.R. White was struck by the mirror of a passing car after walking onto the highway in Mercer County to remove debris from the road. White is recovering.
