We have been seeing several pictures coming out of Grenada/Oxford, MS of light snow accumulations...enough to cover the ground. Also seeing reports of some freezing rain/drizzle on the back edge of the precipitation across NW MS. Based on this information, we have decided to issue a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for our far NW counties...Marion, Lamar, Winston, Fayette, Walker...until Noon. Light snow accumulations of up to 0.25 are possible at first with some minor accumulations of freezing rain possible afterward. This could lead to some hazardous travel conditions in some locations. Please use extreme caution if driving in this area.
