We have returned to Hong Kong after a 23 year absence. Lots of changes! Lots of people still smoke- horrible! Hawkers trying to sell watches, tailors, shoe makers(!) are much more polite and drivers are fast but safe! But it is no longer a cheap place! Saw queues outside Hermes and Cartier today! That says it all. Shenzhen had disappointing shopping as well - even after protracted haggling by the expert, prices were NOT cheap! Argh! But the food still makes up for it all!
