We have watched both Blackfish and The Cove this week and I have to say I am ashamed of being so ignorant as to not realize when visiting Seaworld in Florida not only how these poor brilliant creatures are treated but how they are captured. Not only will I ever visit one of these parks again I will do everything I can to promote the OPS and to increase awareness on this issue that will effect the entire world if it continues.... It broke my heart to watch these beautiful creatures with the same level of emotion and intelligence as humans if not higher....being treated with such cruelty.... We see every day how people in our world intentionally and knowingly harming those that cannot help themselves.... Isnt it time we start to unite against cruelty in factory farms, cruelty by captivating and slaughtering wild animals and mammals, cruelty in puppy mills and dog fighting venues... It is in my mind, a testament to who we are as human beings, in how we treat those beings that can do nothing for us.....in other words isnt it time we started being kind to all living things and standing up for those that cant defend themselves both human and animal. Apathy is easy and complacency is common. Certainly we all have exhibited those characteristics . Perhaps though its time to recognize that just because the issue isnt in our backyard doesnt mean it wont affect us at some point in our lifetime. One person can make a difference. Imagine uniting for humanity, kindness, preservation, love and peace for all creatures on this planet ....what a beautiful world it could be.
