We havent really addressed this in the past because we were focusing a lot on our ability to perform and putting our songs together but its time we made public quite a strong stance that we have with our direction and motive. Sometimes thing are hard to get through, like, really hard. We have this thing that our band sings about, called The Darkness, and basically this is everything horrible that youve ever had to face. It can be your anxiety, depression, fear or thoughts. It can be the things someone has done to you, or the things youve done to someone else. The reason we are together, is because were four guys that have felt drastically impacted in different ways by this darkness — and we feel there is a silent battle going on in both the hearts of ourselves and people every day. We want to address it, and we want to create an environment, where no matter what youre going through or dealing with; you can feel accepted. If you listen to our lyrics, conceptually, this all fits together. It is so much more than just writing music, and all we hope is that you will be able to take something from that. If you have ever felt out of place, were just a bunch of freaks too. If youve been bullied, we still take crap for being who we are. If you feel like you have nothing to live for, we feel just as hopeless at times. That is the essence. Were not here to make money, were not interested in selling out, we are not interested in drama or conflict. If we have one person that goes home feeling a little less alone after seeing us play then we have achieved our goal. Because you are not alone, and we play for each and every one of you. Were sorry if this status is a little long, but it is time we made our goals and intentions clear. This band is all we have, and we want to extend our reach and include every one of you in that. Because youre not doing this alone, and if we did not care about you we would not feel the way that we do towards how we play.
