We just finished watching August: Osage County. I dont know what I expected, but it was interesting to say the least. MERYL STREEP AND JULIA ROBERTS gave the best performances of their careers in this movie. It will sure make you examine yourself, your siblings, your mother and your grandmother and how you all became the people you are. It made me thankful for the mother I have and the mother she had. I know that both of them had things that happened in their lives that could have made them turn into completely different people than who they are/were. I am thankful that they became the women I know which in turn had a lot to do with me becoming the strong person I am. Cruelty begets cruelty, hurt begets hurt. I am sad to say I know people who grew up in households much like the one in this movie. I am happy to say I was not one of them, and even happier to say my kids were not.
