We just want to avoid any misinterpretation of our song “Here - TopicsExpress

We just want to avoid any misinterpretation of our song “Here the Hero Dies.” In no way do we promote violence and the song’s meaning is actually attempting to promote further thought in the area of anti-violence. We do apologize for the graphic scenes in our video. Violence is an ugly thing. Also we are not referring to fictional violence in anyway. We do not hold movies, books, music, or video games responsible for acts of violence. We are responsible for our own actions. We usually allow for our listeners to interpret a song as they wish. It makes it more interesting to hear unique interpretations of the same song, like a painting that inspires different emotions to different people. Our song is meant to be a bit sarcastic at moments. For the last several years there have been great acts of violence that have crippled and devastated our country. We have watched as innocent blood is spilled in the name of hatred and or greed. This is not a new problem and has repeated throughout history. It some times seems as though our politicians are quick to act when the aggressor is a foreign enemy or if it somehow benefits their political agenda. Our politicians no longer represent the people, but rather, the PACs that fund their campaign propaganda. We are being told that there is no problem and for us to be on our way. These elected officials are not our saviors. They are just as lost as we are. What is the solution to all this violence? One side preaches more gun control another preaches more guns. Do we fight violence with violence and allow this cycle of anger and hate to continue? You hate me; because I hate you, but who hated who first? In the mean time our world is going to Hell. Do we just lay down arms and hope everyone does the same? Do we pretend there is no problem and continue to watch as these crimes are committed with hands, guns, knifes, and bombs. Our supposed heroes are lost and have walked away. Are we to believe it is better this way, because they can’t agree? Perhaps we must just save ourselves. We don’t have answers just more questions, but maybe if we continue to question each other on why this happens perhaps we can solve this one day. I do believe violence existed long before guns and bombs so maybe where we are pointing our fingers are in the wrong places. -IR youtube/watch?v=Ti5ddu8tWRQ
