Heres is a good opportunity: Apply for FHC Civil War Teacher Training Workshop July 8-11 From Framingham to the Battlefield and Back is a four day workshop that will focus on the Civil War collections and archives at the Framingham History Center and the Massachusetts Historical Society as well as recently published works on local Civil War history. The workshop also includes a walking tour, guest lectures and performances. It is designed primarily for high school English and history teachers, though the material is adaptable to K-8 as well. It is open to teachers from the following districts: Ashland, Framingham, Marlborough, Natick, Southborough, Sudbury, and Wayland. Participating teachers will receive $100 stipends upon completion of course work. Framingham State University PDPs (30) and graduate credits (two) will be funded by FHC. The selection of graduate credit is optional.
