We leave GTMO today for what may be the last trip with sadness and excitement. Those of you that know me best know just how much I "love" Facebook so I just wanted to thank all of the wonderful special people that we have met on our journey on island (both old and new friends) and those we met everywhere else too. This has been the most family like place I have been in my Navy GS career. To all of the young ones I have had the chance to boss around :) and mother--my words of wisdom (borrowed from others over time)-- (1) It is not you abilities that show who you truly are it is your choices so choose wisely! (2) Think before you do anything--regret only comes later if you did not think and it is always okay to wonder what might have been just face your own music as it plays and (3) Do what is right even when it is the hardest thing to do or is not popular or simple--mistakes are harder to fix!!! Everyone has an inner super hero or wanna-be (I just have a split personality with my desire to be the Wicked Witch and Wonder Woman LOL) embrace your own diversity and be who you are. Wish you all best blessings in your individual lives and I believe we will likely meet again in this small world. I hope that I have left some small blip in your own journey to have made a positive impact (some not so positive probably) or a really good chuckle anyway. Keep in touch, stay safe, and stay yourselves! Love always!
