We live in a world that holds and hides a million shades of green and in enormous generosity, we were given hands to uncover and eyes to see. It is spring and the world is singed with new life, every tree is tipped with cold, velvet green and a robin is perched up in the branches of the oak. I went on a long walk/run this evening. The sooty asphalt pulled roughly at my tender feet and the cool air nipped at my cheeks. The sky was covered with thin, gray, cracked clouds and rivers of liquid sunlight spilled and slipped between every crack. Everywhere I looked I saw bright beauty tucked away in corners. Small white flowers tinted with soft purple looked like stars nestled in a deep green sky. A twisted vine climbed and clung to a wooden mailbox, and it’s pretty yellow flowers nodded their heads at me as I breezed past.
