We lived twelve years in the Pacific Northwest...the picture represents well what we observed. The people who look at everything with only an eye for what they can get for it are ruining the environment. Fish (a natural food source) dont manage very well in water with toxins from paper mills or silt that clogs up creeks and rivers and suffocates fish eggs. We lose when streams and rivers are dammed up to make a pond for cattle to use and muck up when cattle are raised in the arid lands and water rights are sold for intensive water-using crops like mint...in the desert. Cattle and mint werent ever part of that natural ecology... but some are willing to sell our birthright for a bowl of $$$$$ :(
