We must not spend too much effort and time arguing on whether to do certain things which doesnt really carry a lot of impact/effect. In case where you are asked to do a trivial thing by your superior, just do it as told, even if you disagree with it, because doing it or not wont change the bigger outcome or have great impact at all. If you always argue with your colleague or superior on impact less/ things, you are mis- allocating your resources. You spent too much of your time and effort (which are company resources considering you are being paid) on things that doesnt make a different at bigger picture. Its called inefficiency. Your fault :)
