We read in(Romans 12:6)..Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; And in (1 Corinthians 12:10).. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers(Various) kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. Now lately our Brother John MacArthur has been airing his Strange Fire conferences on the radio. He is basically in total disagreement with those that exercise their Spiritual Gifts, such as speaking or praying in tongues..the interpretation of a message in tongues and prophesying among others. I am in total agreement with him on the abuses and the fact that Satan does counterfeit the Gifts and things of God! I have heard people speaking in tongues and discerned that it was either of the flesh, or that there was another spirit speaking through them other than the Holy Ghost! Now John MacArthur like many others like him, have taken (1 Corinthians 13:8) out of context to justify their position, thus quenching the Holy Spirit, and destroying the much needed Gifting and Power of God in the Church in this final hour! (1 Corinthians 13:8-10)..Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. They claim that which is perfect has come, and it is Gods Holy Written Word! And we must agree with him that Gods Word is perfect, and that God has watched over it and Preserved it to All Generations! But Paul was not talking about Gods Word because Knowledge has not vanished away! This verse is taking about the Lords Perfect Kingdom..Thy Kingdom come! I feel and yes it often angers me to hear people put down and try to justify their position to rip out of Gods Word (1Corinthians 14:39)..Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues., to justify their position to either rob a Brother or Sister from exercising a gift that God has given them and to keep whole congregations from seeking the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and operating in the full power of the Holy Ghost! Now everyone is Baptized {INTO} the Body of Christ the moment that they receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, but that is different from being Baptized {BY} the Holy Ghost! Now I know that we are all going to have to give an account of the things that we said and did at the Bema Seat of Christ,(This is why I dont believe in a Partial Rapture) whether good or bad! (2Cor 5-10).. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. As great of a Bible Scholar that John MacArthur is, I believe that this one is going to be a big deal before the Lord, because having our secrete thoughts(Brothers, you know what Im talking about) or some Sin layed wide open before our Lord Jesus Christ before His Judgment Seat is one thing, but to purposely add or take away from Gods Word comes with a very serious warning according to (Revelation 22:19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. I have been in Churchs that go along with this wrong teaching, and I have to admit that they are Deader than a Door Nail! Now for those that attack the kharisma “grace, favor, gift”(Ancient Greek χάρισμα) of God, and would rather sit like a bump on a log in a Roman Catholic style type of Protestant Church, I can pretty much guarantee that you are going to be the first going up in the Rapture, and I even have a verse that proves it! (1 Thessalonian 4:16-17)..For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:and THE DEAD IN CHRIST shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. He he he!! I do Love you all and stay very close the Jesus because He is coming for us SOON!!!
