We snorkeled on the Carribean side today at paw paw beach. We were the only ones until we saw one other couple from North Carolina who flew their private plane over. Lucky!! At one point we snorkeling in the middle of so many fish it was crazy. Funny thing..we could have stood up at any time for a long way out. I have fallen in love with this place. Its remote, its strange at times but its not the least bit pretentious and you can just be you. We cant possibly fit in all I want to do in the next 2 days and I wish I booked longer. You have to have an adventurous edge here and a willingness to give up some conveniences. My rental car sucks (makes cheech and Chong mobile look like a sweet ride ) but as soon as my tire went flat..Andrew the lovely caretaker (who is also a devout Christian and a wonderful man) saw my tire, took it to town, changed it and I never knew until we came up from beach that evening. There are a few things I dont want to give up but most everything i have , I would trade to live a simpler life amidst the surf, sand, trade winds and lovely people.
