We walked today for those babies that will never take their first steps. We walked together broken-hearted, one foot in front of the other, but with our new family in our new normal The Walk to Remember is one of my favorite days of the year, coming together with amazing friends that we would have never met had the circumstances been the way we planned for and so badly wanted. We walked for our babies, our friends babies, and all of the other babies who were taken too soon. Its heartbreaking to look around and see how many other people wear our shoes, and at the same time, a sense of relief because they understand, they know how it feels, and with child loss, you never want anyone to understand, because that means that they wear the same, ugly, painful shoes. Its a hopeful day too, seeing all of the sunshine and rainbow babies.
