Wonder of wonders, I havent had internet (except on my phone) for several days. Now I am on a train, from Agra to Ajmer and my internet dongle is finally working. So many stories already on my Kensington Tours Mirabai Expedition and its only day 3. Heres a good one: I spent the last 3 days in dusty Vrindavan, staying at an ashram. Decided to spend today having a taste of luxury by stopping at the ITC Mughal Hotel. I tweeted that I was on my way this morning, and when I arrived, a reception committee was waiting. They gave me one of their best rooms, a lavish lunch and use of the spa -- and their spa is one of the best in Asia. So I had 4 hours of 5-star luxury, all complimentary. (PS If you are thinking it is very strange that I would go to Agra and not visit the Taj Mahal, I have been there twice before and in fact I am going again with Ajay on October 25.)
