Weather Advisory For: Typhoon Halong Issued at: 11:00 am, 02 August 2014 At 10:00 am today, the Typhoon outside the Philippine area of Responsibility (PAR) with international name of Halong was estimated based on all available data at 1,340 km east of Central Luzon (15.0˚N, 136.2˚E). It has maximum winds of 130 kph and gustiness of up to 160 kph. it is forecast to move west northwest at 10 kph. This typhoon will be named Jose as it enters the PAR. Also, it will not yet affect any part of the country because it is too far away. However, the general public and disaster risk reduction and management councils concerned are advised to be alert and to monitor for the updates to be incorporated in the public weather forecast at 5:00 pm today and for the next advisory to be issued at 11:00 am tomorrow pagasa.dost.gov.ph/weather/weather-advisry
