Weather Channel founder and veteran meteorologist John Coleman - TopicsExpress

Weather Channel founder and veteran meteorologist John Coleman tells the history of the global warming scare, presents some of the evidence against significant man-made warming, and explains how government spending of $4.7 billion a year on global warming research drives the continuing scare. He explodes the myth, propagated by Al Gore, that Gore was carrying on the legacy of Roger Revelle, whose work in the 1950s launched fears of fossil fuel-driven climate change. Coleman shows that Revelle changed his tune in the 1980s and urged members of Congress not to embrace alarmism. He shows graphs of long-term climate history showing that recent warming hasn’t been unusual. He shows other data debunking other claims of unprecedented climate changes. We wouldn’t always put things just as he does (e.g., he focuses more on U.S. data than global), but his perspective should help many laymen gain a more balanced understanding of the controversy.
