Weather Forecast for Kentfordwickchestershireland – Thursday - TopicsExpress

Weather Forecast for Kentfordwickchestershireland – Thursday 17th July 14. A ridge of high pressure settles over us – for now. TODAY . . . Putting it simply, we can expect a decent Summer’s day involving lengthy sunny spells and varied cloud amounts across Kent today. That will enable temperatures to get up to as high as 27 C (81 F) towards the London end, but mercifully it’ll be somewhat more bearable around South and East-facing Coastal areas at 20 C to 22 C (68 F to 72 F) once the obligatory daytime sea breezes get to work. So, in short, finally, proper Summer has arrived. However, pollen count and UV are expected to be very high today, along with reducing air quality and increasing humidity levels starting to become an issue towards the built-up area of our county. So, if you are an asthmatic fair skinned hay fever sufferer living in a built up area then you may find the next couple of days a real struggle – but, hey, at least it’ll be good for the line washing. TONIGHT . . . Although it is expected to be mainly dry with lengthy clear breaks and varied cloud amounts, there is a small chance of an odd popcorn-type thundery shower brushing by West Kent as it tumbles in from the Channel at some point in the small hours. What you will notice is how muggy and sticky is will be with temperatures hovering between 17 C to 19 C (63 F to 66 F) as our winds becomes a gentle south west breeze in from the near Continent. It’s going to be a real sleeping-on-top-of-the-duvet-with-bedroom-windows-wide-open-and-fans-going-off type of night and then end up feeling cranky in the morning due to lack of sleep. TOMORROW (Friday) . . . Lengthy sunny spells and only well broken cloud, thus causing it to become hot at 28 C to 30 C (82 F to 86 F) inland, just a little cooler and fresher around South and East-facing coastal areas. There is a chance of an isolated thundery shower or two popping up in the evening, though. WEEKEND . . . This is where it all becomes a forecasting headache as it now looks like we could get to miss the thundery-stuff on Saturday as it all passes by to our west and instead Sunday turning out to be the wetter day with thundery showers. I do think we may get to experience some flashings and bangings on Saturday night or in the early hours of Sunday morning, though. It has all been said in low confidence due to the complexity of the situation, however there will be a fair amount of cloud cover but it will be very warm and muggy anyway. NEXT WEEK . . . Mostly dry, settled and warm as high pressure will never be too far away, as long as we don’t get to have too much of that low cloud muck coming in from the North Sea what with our wind tending to be coming in from the north east or east.
