Wednesday, 29 May, 2013 Ariane 5 • Measat 3b & Optus 10 Launch window: 7:32 - 8:08 AM (AEST) Launch site: ELA-3, Kourou, French Guiana Arianespace will use an Ariane 5 ECA rocket, designated VA218, to launch the Measat 3b and Optus 10 satellites. Measat 3b will provide Ku-band direct-to-home broadcasting and other telecommunications services over Malaysia, India and Indonesia for Measat Global of Malaysia. NewSat Ltd. of Australia has also leased some of Measat 3bs capacity to be marketed as Jabiru 2. Optus 10 will deliver television broadcasts and two-way voice and data services to customers in Australia and New Zealand for SingTel Optus.
