After waiting month after month, she got the call today that Kyler was finally on the schedule, but with such short notice the family hasnt had time to plan accordingly. Kyler is 18 years old, but mentally compared to a 10 year old child. He has Autism and Kyphosis. His Kyphosis causes him severe pain. The upcoming spinal surgery is much needed and will help improve his quality of living. The medical team will insert metal rods into Kylers spine. The surgery will take anywhere from 6-12 hours depending on the severity. Kyler will be in the hospital for approx 5 days. Since the hospital is not local, the Dickermans will need to travel and make hotel arrangements. With the expenses on the rise and limited time to plan, the Dickermans are in need of financial assistance with traveling expenses, but more importantly Becca and possibly even her husband, will be unavailable to work. Their focus will be on Kyler and his recovery. Please consider making a donation to help relieve some of the financial burden. Theyve always been so willing to help others in need.
