Wednesday, July 24, 2013 Satisfied Soul I keep my mind on God, and my soul is satisfied. A beautiful sunset, the sound of laughter, the tastes and smells of my favorite foods—these enrich my life and satisfy my senses. But how do I satisfy my soul? Jesus taught, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” As I keep my mind on God, I gain a sense of God’s love for me. I return that love by answering the call to a higher purpose. With a heart full of God’s love, I joyfully express it to others. In exchange for anger, I offer understanding. For confusion, I offer clarity. For sadness, I offer comfort. With my mind and heart on God, my life is filled with meaning. I give thanks and sing praises, for in loving God, my soul is satisfied. My soul is satisfied as with a rich feast, and my mouth praises you with joyful lips.—Psalm 63:5 Please do not respond to this email.
