Welcome to Fight the Factions, Post-Partisan Politics for the 21st Century. If you believe that our current political parties, Democrats Republicans and the rest have lost their way, that they have become the Factions that Jame Madison warned us about in the Federalist Papers, that American in the 21st century deserves better than the poisonous partisan mess we have today, then this is the place for you. Here we can: 1. Share stories of absurd partisan nonsense. 2. Discuss the options for reform, including a. Taking back our democracy by removing the political party designations from the ballot. b. Fixing Congress by demanding that congressional districts be competitive, as well as compact and contiguous. c. Fighting the corrosive effects of unlimited money on our politics. Money simply cannot equal speech in a society where all people are equal before the law. 2. Begin to form the networks, contacts and community that will haul our government back from the brink.
