Well Hello friends and foe alike. When I went to my car this morning I certainly knew I was not in Miami FL. 20 Degrees in my driveway and by the time I arrived at Speedy Steves Laundromat it was 18 degrees. It was windy and bitter cold. Not those beautiful warm ocean breezes with a hint of salt air. Oh my yes I knew I was not in Miami FL. Now back to reality and my report. Cumbys was packed to the rafters. Inside and out. Every gas pump had a car parked but no one was pumping gas. Must be they left their gloves at home. Dunkin did not have one gas pumper and only a few cars in their parking lot. Of course, in spite of the low temperature, our ever dependable town crier and guardian of the righteous was parked in his favorite spot. A few Christmas lights here and there in the Village Square and our Town Hall Clock Tower was right on the button. Keeping time perfectly. Between MIss Bellows Falls Diner and the American Legion the parking lot looked like a black and white checker board. Where the cars were parked there was no snow. I could have had a game of hop scotch if I had a partner. I would love to say Adios me amigos I am headed to South of the Border down Mexico way but alas there is Thanksgiving to be had and family to think about and enjoy with more food than necessary but there it is, and lots of it. There are my wonderful children, grandchildren and now a great grandson to love and be with, hugs, kisses and feed, argue with and enjoy each and every one of them. So Christmas is coming BUT after that I pray the Lord to give me the strength to leave on a jet plane, dont know when Ill be back again. To briefly sum all of this up. I wish I did not have this executive duty. What a shit fly job. Maybe I should do an undercover boss show. The lion sleeps fit as a fiddle in his bed whilst I was out and about freezing my ass off. I wore my Vermont shit kickers today for this first time this season. They are not feminine in the least, warm and dry, but who is looking a 5:30 AM. Have a good one today friends and foe alike.
