Well I can finally reveal what has been in the planning for the past three months... as of the first of November I will be the proud owner of the Business I have been working for since March. Marshall Property Services. Bryan Marshall the boss is retiring and I am buying him out. I will have about 8 sub contractors working for me and we will be servicing up to six real estate companies in Adelaide. Between them there will be potentially three thousand rental properties on the books for maintaining and renovating.. Its going to be a steep learning curve for me but I am basically buying myself a job through to retirement. There is potential to expand it if I want but I have a lot to learn first. It means less time on the tools and more on admin and bookwork doing quotes and organising the subbies. Im lookung forward to the challenge and this new phase of my life! Thankyou to Anne Marshall for suggesting I come and work for Bryan when things had gone quiet at Kadina...I never in my wildest dreams thought Id be buying his business after six months!! Cease the day they say! Thankyou also to Bryan for his faith in me and his mentoring. His phone will run hot for the first couple of months as I find my feet! Exciting (and a little bit scary) times!
