Well, I did petitioning in the nasty cold wind today outside the Village Hall in Park Ridge. Got 4 short of the needed number of signatures to put it on the November ballot. The remainder will be done by house canvassing. Not too worried about getting the next 18 signatures needed for the 20% threshold. Voter turnout was absolutely dismal. When I finally threw in the towel due to frozen extremities, around 100 people (of 360 voters on the books) had voted. Seems like our democracy is going backwards in a hurry folks.
