Well, I drove Judy Higgins to the doctors today and got a parking ticket! I put 75 cents in the meter, it said we had 1-1/2 hours, we came out after an hour and 20 minutes or so and found our meter expired and a ticket for $25 on the windshield. BUMMER! So - we drove off, but a few blocks away decided to go to the police station and pay it before we forgot. So - I said to the woman helping us, May I just say one thing please? She said, yes. I said, the meter must be running fast because we had 1-1/2 hours but were ticketed approx. only 1hr. 20mins. later. We thought we had another 10 minutes. So, she says, would you like me to have the meter checked? I said, sure. Sounds good.. She said she would call us with the result in a few hours. So - I say, cool and we go home. Well, she called this afternoon and said that the ticket was voided! Woo-hoo! It never hurts to politely stand up for yourself! They will hopefully fix the meter so that other people dont get a ticket unfairly. :)
