Well, I finally made the move to video and bought a camcorder (a clearly audible gasp rises from the crowd). Oh come on, settle down. It was an inevitable move that I was going to make sooner or later in order to complete my arsenal of recording equipment, and besides, its just one of those little hand-helds; nothing outrageously expensive. Im still at the low end of the learning curve, but since there arent a whole lot of features, Ive been able to pretty much figure out all the functions. I had to turn down the mic sensitivity and it still picked up the sounds of morning traffic, which for some reason sounds louder. Ill be shooting selected scenes during our road trip from Pierre, SD to Richland WA, to the 2014 Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation, some of which will be in the remote areas of Idahos US12 over Lolo Pass, into Orofino, ID. We will overnight there, in Gods country, and also visit one the known campsites of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, where they stayed a number of days on both the outbound and return legs of their trip. And what a trip it must have been!
