Well I have to say, I just had one of the best dog show weekends ever. We (me and my dogs) just barely arrived in time to enter on Friday. I entered my Rat Terrier, Boss, who needed two competition wins to Champion, and my APBT Amber who needed one. They both won BOB; Amber with competition Boss no competition. One Champion finished! Boss picked up a Group 4 and got the competition win that way. One down... Saturday I entered both Boss and his brother Rocket. Rocket is a Champion and needs 3 more legs for his Grand. They were the only 2 Rats entered. Boss won BOB for the other competition win he needed. Yea another new Champion! He then went on to take a Group 4. Good Boy!! In show 2 Rocket took Breed and a group 2! WooHoo Rocket. By the end of the day I was feeling pretty sick and Rocket was too. He threw up (so did I) and had diarrhea ( I didnt) so not much sleep to be had. Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day. I felt much better and so did Rocket but I didnt enter him in the shows.I filled out a move up form for Boss and entered him in the Champion class. Danielle showed up with a couple of class dogs but no competition in the Champion class. Oh well Boss needs the experience. Show one under judge Larry Hansen, Boss took Breed and a group 1. Wow I was one happy woman. Show 2 caught up with Show 1, Boss was really on an took Breed and another Group 1 under judge Deb Debbi Orwin! Wowza!! I am on cloud 9 at this point. Show one finished the last group and the club decided to finish all the groups in show 2 and then do both BIS one after the other.... Boss is such a trooper! He is just 14 months old and I know he was getting tired but he performed so well for me. The judge gave reserve to a really nice Dalmatian and BIMBS went to this really special little RAT TERRIER! Thats right my Boss man won!!! I was just thrilled! I think I cried a bit. LOL. So in we went for show two. The reserve went to the Mini Poodle (I think) and then the judge walked over and handed the BIMBS award to.... You guessed it Boss again! Holy Moly!! I still can barely believe it! What a great way to end the weekend! I would like to thank all the members of CCA for putting on a great show ( and hiring really good judges. ) Thanks to the show photographer, Bruce Lehman, for retaking photos of Amber twice. And for taking great win pics of Boss. I had fun chatting with Bruce and helping get dogs stacked up right for photos. Vicki Campbell-Smack thanks for helping me with my dogs. Po is a big knucklehead but he is such a a happy boy. I am exhausted. Have to walk dogs one more time then going to bed. I hope I can sleep. I have a long drive home tomorrow.....
