Well, I learned something new today! Poor Barney has experienced massive hair loss in a period of one week. Thankfully, I have a very knowledgable vet who immediately recognized the hair loss pattern as that seen in hypothyroidism. Tested him and sure enough, he is hypothyroid. Poor baby, I sure understand why he has been feeling so rough! Please share these pictures so that someone out there may be able to learn from this! I have been working with dogs my entire life, have thyroid issues myself and still had no idea that thyroid was causing this!!
