Well I think its time to clear some things up. The past 2 days Ive had a lot of people ask me whats going on with me and the Marine Corps, well here it is. I got a phone call last night from my surgeon who performed my ACL Reconstruction back in January. He informed me earlier in the week that I would possibly have to have a second surgery to repair my meniscus in my right knee. Last night he told me that the surgery couldnt happen while I was in and I would have to get it with the VA when I get out. He informed me that I would go straight on a Med Board immediately and would be medically discharged, when the exact date is I dont know. Let me be clear, I dont want a pity party for myself. Ive spent the last 3 and a half years in the Marine Corps with no regrets, of course if I could go back and change a few things I would, but thats life and s**t happens. The experiences Ive had since I joined are things that I will never forget, and the friends Ive made are gonna be my brothers for life....you all know who you are. Ive accepted the fact that no getting out and Im ready to move on with the next chapter in my life. With that being said, over the next couple of weeks Im gonna start to thank the people whove gotten me to where I am today. I dont have the time or the motivation to do that right now lol. Anyways, with all that being said. Dont feel bad for me, the only thing Im mad about is the fact that I ant get out on my own terms and the Marine Corps is making me get out on theirs. Buts its ok, God is good and he has a plan for me. Im looking forward to spending REAL quality time with my wife Astiney Colon and our beautiful daughter and watching her grow up to make daddy proud. As for everyone else, Jonathan Rodriguez, Melissa Rodriguez, Yolanda Rodriguez.....your son is coming home soon, for good this time
