Well, I took the fireplace insert out and coal dust came flying down - they had a bunch of newspapers shoved up in there to try to prevent that I guess - I pulled a paper out cuz I could not believe they were all shoved in there and the dust rolled in like it was a Woody Guthrie song. The opening wasnt as decorative and pretty as I imagined, so the insert will go back in but Im glad that coal dust is out... not the fireplace on the other side, I am leaving the insert alone!!!
