Well Ive had a few days to reflect on my Rose of Tralee - TopicsExpress

Well Ive had a few days to reflect on my Rose of Tralee experience. Wow! And with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face, Ill try to begin to thank those of you that made my experience so special. Bear with me... To my family, friends, wonderful Milford Camogie team, Dell work colleagues, Kevin for being there and his family, the Cork Rose Centre committee members and of course, my lovely & loyal fellow 2014 Cork Roses and Escorts. You will never fully understand my appreciation for seeing you all there. I was brimming with pride when you raised the roof of the Dome. I was your Rebel Rose! Coming out on stage and seeing all the banners is a memory that will never leave me! Thank you to Anthony OGara & the entire team of the Rose of Tralee International Festival. The tour was amazing and everything was top class! Ye know how to throw a party!! To Ber, Gerard Denis and all involved in the Cork Rose Centre. Thank you for all of your organisation and help. To the past Cork Roses, especially Edel & Brid you kept the stress at bay and were so kind to me. To all of you who sent good wishes, Ive been blown away by all the cards, flowers and gifts sent to my house- and my hotel room 229. I stood on that stage Tuesday night and represented each of you. You were on the journey with me every step of the way. To everyone who sponsored me outfits, and to Tina Hemlock Tina Hemlock Coyne for all of my headpieces. My suitcase was brimming, thanks to your generosity. You all will be thanked separately too if I havent done so already on Facebook before I left. To every business who supported me especially Jim Barry of The Barry Group, Dell Software and Reardens Bar. Thank you sincerely for your help. To Maria, our wonderful Rose of Tralee. You are truly a great ambassador and I am glad I can now call you & 30 other fabulous roses my friends. Each of you has touched my life in some way, from catchy phrases to ukuleles ;-) To the escorts- ye are great guys. Ye made all the roses smile whenever needed. The sing-off will always be a stand out memory!! James thanks for putting up with me for the week. Escort of the Year next year for sure!! Thanks to everyone from Cork, even those from around the world that made me feel so lucky to be from the Rebel County. Up the Rebels was a phrase that took over Tralee! So now as the 2014 Cork Rose I take a breath and say- this is not the end, its just the beginning. Xxx
