Well Ive read so many stuff already about that hipon issue. Some guys are making remarks that people shouldve taken that joke lightly. I, for one was not on Kadayawan Invasion, so I wasnt able to witness what happened first hand. But all people, not limiting to Ramon Bautista alone (Im not a hater. On the contrary Im a fan of the guy), should know that there are some things that are better left unsaid. Some jokes are to be taken lightly, some are really down right offensive. We should face the fact that Filipino humor is sometimes solely based on others emabarassment or ridicule. But not because something was intended to be funny, it should be funny nor taken lightly. But nonetheless, props to Ramon Bautista for admitting his mistake and doing a public apology. Now that the issue has gone up all the way to the national news, most people have said it has gone all the way too far. Yes, it might have. But we all should understand that this is the media were talking about. Theyre just reporting the stirred controversy that happened over the weekend. For sure, maybe by Wednesday, everything will be like it never even happened. This might not be national-news-worthy, but hey, Ramon Bautista is a public personality, Davao is well known to be... well, Davao. And besides that news clip didnt even get a minute of air time. So just try to give it a break people. All this society needs is just a little bit of open mind and thorough understanding. I know Im not an influential person that can affect anyones perception on things, to be writing this lenghty post. Im just like one of you guys, voicing out my opinion on this matter. So yeah, good evening yall :)
