Well, Tristan wasnt just grieving -- he got much worse today and I called the vet who said I should bring him in to be seen. Turned out he is sick with a very high fever. She gave him a shot of fever reducer and antibiotics and prescriptions to continue and said bring him back tomorrow if he isnt much better. Within a few hours he had a little sparkle in his eyes and ate a tad of dinner. That made me feel better and I am once again glad for our caring and competent vet clinic.
